I need blanket student accident insurance.

What you should know about blanket student accident insurance.

Blanket student accident insurance is a policy purchased by the college and is designed to provide medical coverage for registered students that sustain bodily injuries while participating in college sponsored and supervised activities. Coverage may include college related travel for covered events and may also be extended to children of enrolled students enrolled in the college’s childcare center.

Blanket student accident coverage complements the college’s general liability policies by helping to fill potential gaps in coverage. By proactively paying for covered injuries, accident Insurance may help to lower the frequency of the college’s liability claims and provide a safety net to protect the health and financial well-being of their students.

Claims are paid in excess of or secondary to any other valid primary insurance coverage for which the student may be enrolled. Primary insurance may include coverage provided as a dependent on a parent’s insurance plan, the college’s student health insurance plan, or an individual insurance plan. If the student does not have their own primary medical insurance, the college policy provides coverage on a primary basis.

Medical maximums, copays, deductibles and limitations will vary depending on the level of coverage purchased by the college.
